A commitment

Well, I really need to kick up my weight loss to get ready for show season. This is a constant battle for me and I reallly need to COMMIT. Here it goes!

This is a site with a Nine week program to go from "Couch to 5K". I intend to do the workout and find a 5K, in which to participate this summer. I do NOT enjoy working out, but I enjoy being fit, so I will do this work for the benefits.

So there you go blog-friends, I welcome your support. Naggers need not apply I have a one! :D

So here is a picture of myself and Luna (on right) and Loli to ensure I actually do the work. I hate photos of myself. I particular hate those where I am looking down and sporting spare chins. So here is a photo so that I drag my butt out to do my C2-5K workouts!

Look what we found!

There we were, pulling up old dead grass and crab grass to mulch around the daylilies here at the shop.
We went to pull the clump of grass there behind the rock (next to the metal flower) and it came up really easy...and was covered in fuzz?
Hmmm? Well further inspection gave us THIS!
No it's not a magic eye puzzle or a trick. It is....

See the tiny ears, eyes and paws? A whole heap of (five) baby bunnies!
Okay so I was a very good human and didn't touch them or smooch their little heads. I wish I had a night vision camera to catch vids of momma coming to take care of them.
Aren't they friggin cute?

Well we wer

New babies!

It may be hard to count them but there are six girls in there! Three Americaunas and three Buff Orpingtons. I had only intended the Orpingtons, but there they were in all their cuteness and mottled fluff...I couldn't resist. Not to mention in a few months I will have blue or green eggs! :D

Who is the observer?

A few weeks ago this deer and his girlfriend were in a field near my house. I stopped to admire them and take a picture. His BFF took off for the woods and he took ten strides stopped where you see him and watched me back! I don't think you can tell but he had just one antler! I don't know enough about deer to know if this is 'lose them' season or not. I hope so, because I am sure he would be embarrassed to lose an antler during an off season. Of course, staring at people in cars is a dangerous hobby for a deer.

Miss Emily

Our neice, Emy, had her birthday party this weekend. Well, apparantly there were THREE parties, but we went to ONE!
I think she must have gotten 400 PINK items at one sitting. LOL
She is now a big six year old princess and I realized that despite being 'the baby' of the family she is turning into a big girl. She made pudding to share with Duncan, shared toys with him and let him ride her new birthday scooter (also pink, btw).
Happy Birthday Emy!

Does it really mean?

Spring is here early?

Tulips coming in!

Little Rose buds budding!

Crocus and Daffs next to the shop! (Thanks again Daryl for this B'day gift a few years back)

AND............. Daylily heads?

I sure hope this (and my horses shedding) means Spring is early and not that we are going to have a bad killing frost.
For today I enjoy the 60+ degree temps. It is a nice change.
Don't worry I pushed the old leaves back on top of those daylily 'kids'.

Being taken over by the bathroom

Since my 10 minute makeover I have been a bit obsessed with making the bathroom a happy place. Some new candles, bubble bath and just more happy from that room (actually both bathrooms) but now I think about how to make it a bit nicer each day.
Today I went to Goodwill (anyone surprised?) and really found nothing of interest except....border for bathroom. Don't freak out I am not putting a new border up after removing the ghastly one from before, i just had an idea.

So I went to Dollar Tree to round out my idea and here is what I came home with.
Roll of border (99c), Dollar tree photo frames (4 @ $1 ea) and that little thing of SOAP ROSES. Yes, I said soap roses. They are pretty and you can use them. I like it!
After getting the border I actually used a deposit slip to 'measure' each panel on the border and took that paper into the dollar tree. It works! In the above picture I have used the glass to measure 'frame' out my new inexpensive print and mark it with pencil. Then I simply cut it to size and framed it.

I will end up with FOUR of these pictures for 4.99c (plus tax, of course).

Oddly the frame actually goes well with the print, but I will most likely paint it a complementary color to my bathroom.
What do you think?
Oh, and while talking deals I got two Martha Stewart books for $4 at the Library sale. YAY!

No You may NOT!

Use my bear as a pillow, Daddy!

Just made me smile, this pic!
