The dogwood tree was my mother's favorite. I love it for that and it's own beauty. Each year as they bloom I miss her a bit, but feel she is here in spirit.
beautiful! don't you just love spring as the trees and flowers bud and blossom...love the smell that lingers in the air too. what a nice way to remember your mom ;)
I am a 38 year old professional pet stylist. I'm the mother to an amazing 14YO with disabilities and manage to find a little time to ride my horses and go to the gym. I am a Dave Ramsey nut, so I only buy/do what I can afford. No plastic for me....I have peace and I know that one day people will envy my DEBT FREE self. In the meantime I am on a TIGHT (like corsette tight) budget. I am also a horse mom, so they get a SIGNFICANT chunk of my budget. I dare not contemplate whether they get MORE than me.
As we blog and read about decorating I feel we should all take a moment to bathe in the BLESSING that is our home.
Whether you are living with a friend, living in an apartment, live in a house that is less than ideal, live in your starter home or have the 'dream' home. Take a moment EACH day to remember we are blessed to have homes. Many of us have 'outbuildings' that would be palacial to some people. I will never forget the image in my mind the day I opened my shed and pictured (clear as day) a family huddled there.
Share your blessings! Give time, prayers, love, cast off items and even money as generously as you can.
