If I hadn't seen them I would have been confused! Here are the culprits. They are NOT as happy as the dogs to have snow. However, they are happily laying eggs and eating like pigs.
I am a 38 year old professional pet stylist. I'm the mother to an amazing 14YO with disabilities and manage to find a little time to ride my horses and go to the gym. I am a Dave Ramsey nut, so I only buy/do what I can afford. No plastic for me....I have peace and I know that one day people will envy my DEBT FREE self. In the meantime I am on a TIGHT (like corsette tight) budget. I am also a horse mom, so they get a SIGNFICANT chunk of my budget. I dare not contemplate whether they get MORE than me.
As we blog and read about decorating I feel we should all take a moment to bathe in the BLESSING that is our home.
Whether you are living with a friend, living in an apartment, live in a house that is less than ideal, live in your starter home or have the 'dream' home. Take a moment EACH day to remember we are blessed to have homes. Many of us have 'outbuildings' that would be palacial to some people. I will never forget the image in my mind the day I opened my shed and pictured (clear as day) a family huddled there.
Share your blessings! Give time, prayers, love, cast off items and even money as generously as you can.

They are so cute.
Our little chickies are just hunkering down in their townhouse until the ice passes!
Your hens are brave to wonder in the snow. I didn't think chickens cared for cold weather...what do I know??!!
Warmly,
Deb
